The 2013 Saint George's FRC Team
Myra fills numerous important roles for our team. She has been a memeber of Team 1595 for 4 years. She coaches our 5th grade FLL team, leads the website design team, and helps with Chairman's Award submissions and the business plan. She has a lot of ideas to improve the team and inspires us to dream big. In the future, she plans to double major in biomedical sciences and biology. We wish her all the best in her college years and beyond.
Liz is an amazing builder, and business manager for our team. She has been a part of Team 1595 for 4 years. She works efficiently and quickly to get the job done. During her 10th and 11th grade seasons, she helped communicate with sponsors and plan our team's trip itinerary and stay. In the future, she hopes to go into the biomedical sciences, at York University in England. We hope her the best at college next year.
Drew has been a member of Team 1595 for the past 3 years, as a part of the build team. While she started out shy, through long days of work in the lab, she has grown to be one of the most helpful contributors during build season. Last year, she was part of the drive team at our Portland regional competition. In the future she hopes to go into engineering. We wish her the best at college next year.
Xin is new to robotics this year, but his extensive prior knowledge of programming, building, design, and physics have been a great help to him. He has been very helpful in our CAD design. In the future he hopes to go into engineering. We wish him the best at college.
Omair is the driving force behind the technical aspect of Team 1595. He is integral to the workings of the team and without him, the team would be a shadow of what it is now. He focuses on the Engineering and Programming of the robot and spends countless hours doing both. This is his third year competing on team 1595. In the future he hopes to go into either medicine or engineering.
He is the best safety captain ever! He is one of the most spirited people on our team, and one of the biggest goofballs. He has done robotics for two years, and has been very helpful in building and construction of the robot and field. He has been safety captain for 2 years, and is always the one reminding us to wear our safety glasses and our gloves when we are working with power tools or just around all of the heavy equipment in the lab.
Vice President of business development and philanthropy of FRC Team 1595; she has been a team member for 3 years. She has also been a mentor for FTC Team 6128 as of this year. She is one of the core members of the business, chairman's award, and finance part of robotics. This year, she attended the PMMI conference, and the PACK Expo in Chicago with our team. In the future, she hopes to go into a math or science based career.
Mandy has been a great help with CAD design and building for the 3 years she has been doing robotics. She was on the drive team last year. This year, she is a part of the build team and is head CAD designer. In the future she hopes to go into engineering.
Hunter has been on Team 1595 for 2 years. This year he is the Vice President of business operations and finance for Team 1595. He has been a monumental help in creating our the business plan and chairman's award plan. He is quite business oriented and, in the future, he hopes to go into investment banking.
Kashif is in his first year as a part of team 1595. He has been a big help with our business plan, team management, and design. He has been enjoying his first year, and in the future he hopes to go into education, with a potential specialization in mathematics.
The coolest person EVER!!!!! Kenneth very recently joined robotics, at the beginning of our build season, only a few short weeks ago, but he has been a big help, from the small errors on the business plan to the construction of a small-scale field for the 2013 FRC challenge. He is always willing to help out and is very funny.
Mikey is a helpful member of the robotics team, specifically in building. He has been on our robotics team for 2 years, and was on the build team last year. He brings a special passion for robotics and has embraced a leadership role on the team.
Mark has been a great help this year with programming and CAD design. He is new to Saint George's and to FRC Robotics, but he has quickly learned how FIRST works and has jumped into many areas of our team.
Cade has been very helpful with CAD Design and programming this year. As it is his first year on the team, he is new to FRC and FIRST Robotics competition, but he has quickly become involved and is at robotics every day to help out.
Chris has been an influential builder of our 2013 robot. He has exhibited a strong work ethic and is not afraid to come in and work on the robot during weekends. The spirits of our team are always lifted by this fantastic freshman!
Jimmy is the Lead Scout. This is his first year in robotics, and already, he created our terrific scouting form, which will be used during competitions to evaluate teams. He provides his mastery to the team through creating a world-class scouting report and providing help with the Business Plan.
Michael is one of the most joyful people on our team. If there was a position for spirit, he would fill it. He is new to FIRST this year, but has been a great help creating the scouting forms and building.
Aoxi (James) is new to Saint George's, and FIRST Robotics this year, but has been a very active member since fall. As a mentor and a part of our FTC team, he learned programming, CAD design, and building. At the beginning of the season, he was unaware of how many power tools worked but has now become proficient in almost everything. He is most frequently sighted near the robotics room or the physics room, and is never far from Omair Ahmad, our team's lead engineer.
